17 TOURISTS KILLED IN TUNISIA MUSEUM FOLLOWING TERRORIST ATTACK

A terrorist attack occured today at a national museum very close to Tunisia's parliament in Cental Tunis.

Two gunmen dressed in military uniform fired at tourists as they were getting off the buses and escaped into the Bardo museum where they held others hostage.

Up to seventeen foreign tourists  and 2 Tunisians were said to have been killed in the attack.

Tourists from Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy were among the dead in the deadly assault on the Bardo museum according to Prime Minister Habib Essid.

Two  of the gunmen  have been killed  and one of them captured by Tunisia Counter terrorist force while three other suspects are on the run.

All the  remaining hostages have now been freed.

The attack is a major blow to Tunisia that relies heavily on European tourism and since 2011 there has not been any major militant violence in Tunisia.

The names of the gunmen are yet to be made public and it is not yet known which militant group is responsible for this attack.
