Phillip Phillips Live From Jet Blue's T5 Concert Series, JFK, NYC

NYC 2-18-13: JetBlue Airways, New York's Hometown Airline, today announces an exclusive live performance by Phillip Phillips on Monday, February 18, 2013. Since his “American Idol” win, Phillip’s single “Home” has remained on top of the charts. He will perform “Home” as well as other selections from his debut CD, “The World From The Side Of The Moon,” at a special Live From T5 concert this President’s Day. JetBlue’s Live From T5 concerts are held post-security at Terminal 5 (T5) at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York and are available exclusively to ticketed customers and contest winners.

"I spend so much time running through airports,” said Phillip Phillips, singer/songwriter.   “It will be nice to stop and perform and meet some fans at the JetBlue Terminal in New York."

Phillip Phillips released his debut CD “The World From The Side Of The Moon” (19 Entertainment/Interscope Records) in November. The CD debuted at #4 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart and has already reached gold status.  His first single “Home” topped the charts and his second single “Gone Gone Gone” is out now. Phillip first began making music when he was 14.  He soon found himself mastering riffs from classic-rock tracks like Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water” and Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train.” Several years later, Phillip formed an acoustic band with his sister and brother-in-law and added singing to his repertoire.  After graduating high school, he began studying industrial systems technology at Albany Technical College in Georgia and continued playing music with his brother-in-law. With encouragement from his family and friends, Phillip took a break from working in his family’s pawn shop and auditioned for “American Idol” in summer 2011- and soon found himself tearing through powerful, full-throated performances of songs by artists like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Otis Redding, and Wilson Pickett on the Idol stage.
