The 63-year-old pop icon made a surprise appearance at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (September 12) at the Barclays Center in New York City.

The show kicked off with a visual that featured Madonna arriving in the city in a yellow taxi.
As she got out in Times Square in the video, she arrived to the stage for the show in a hot leather ensemble as “Vogue” played, and she shared some words about MTV’s 40th anniversary before introducing The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber to the stage.
If you didn’t know, Madonna‘s won over 20 awards at the VMAs over the past forty years herself.
