Hollywood is currently attemtping to filma a Wizard of Oz prequel, and Robert Downey Jr. is in meetings to play the leading role. The LA times is reporting that screenwriter Mitchell Kapner has completed a screenplay. The script follows a young Wizard as he arrives in Oz from Kansas. They're also saying that the Wizard in the prequel is darker moodier and has more depth, and that explains why producers are considering Robert Downey Jr. for the role.
