Hello, all!
If you’re thinking about extending your eyelashes artificially, we know ‘eyelash extension’ is the ultimate choice. Here are some pros and some cons of eyelash extensions you should know before getting them done, daah-daah!
What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are not exactly similar to what false eyelashes are. In fact, they are more durable and long-lasting than false/artificial eyelashes. They remain for an amount of time equal to/a little less or more than 3 months. They aren’t permanent. They last up to 3 months, so they can, definitely, be called semi-permanent, but you know that they are going to fall off. And, as soon as your natural eyelashes grow in size and length, these extensions grow as well, and then, they finally fall off. You always get them glued by a professional for various reasons. So, are you thinking about getting extensions? Wait, before you hurry! Here’s a list of pros and cons of eyelash extensions.
Pros of Eyelash Extensions:
• You get to fake the ‘Oh, I have got super-beautiful eyelashes’ for a longer period of time.
• You can go without eye makeup – no mascara, eyeliner, nothing. You already have thick and long eyelashes which are enough to make your eyes look beautiful, and ultimately enhance your overall look.
• You get them instantly, within hours. ‘Instantly’ because the time that has to be invested is lesser than what you’re asked to invest in serums, lotions, oils and creams.
• False eyelashes can never replace the results and the look that eyelash extensions offers – precision, beauty, and a natural appearance. And yes, the semi-permanency!
• It is up to you, how long and thick lashes you want. From the length to the thickness, you decide it all. The merit is that it is up to you to keep them curled or J-shaped or whatever you want them to keep like! ‘You are the queen’.
• They are water-resistant, sweat-resistant and you can swim, bath (ha-ha) and do whatever you want to.
Cons of Eyelash Extensions:
• They can possibly ruin your natural lashes if you have lashes that are too sensitive and not so strong.
• Once you get high-on-them and then low, you’ll have to get a professional again to get them removed. Tired thinking.
• They’re not easy-to-go and easy-to-plan things. Are you ready to spend about 150 dollars for a single session? Go for it, then!
• You can’t bath right after you get eyelash extensions. No bathing for one whole day. Do you love taking showers? Well, then.
• Sensitive eyes? Eyelash extensions can be really irritating for your eyes.
• If your natural (original) eyelashes are prone to falling off sooner, the eyelash extensions might not be something for you. They’d fall off too, duh!
• You have to think before you cry because you’re carrying mink eyelashes. Ready to control the freaking emotions?
• The worst thing is, you’ll have to spend a lot of time to maintain the false lashes and replace them time-to-time. Lazy?
• No more using oil-based products. Only water-based products.
Precautions:
• Visit an aesthetician if eyelash extension is the right choice for you or not.
• Always ask a board professional for help, do not try at home unless you’re a professional.
• Revising the 7th listed con, it’ll get messy if you cry, because of those thicker eyelashes that you’re carrying. Also, don’t get them super-wet. Carry a blotting paper or a wipe to take care of them.
