I love the new East Wing of Shangri-la Mall. It's like a mini version of the malls abroad. And the new restaurants are fantastic.
We had an hour before our make up lessons at Shu Uemura so we decided to eat first. We were choosing between Balboa or Lombardi. Since we only had an hour we picked the one with less people.
Spinach Artichoke. It's ok. Nothing compared to Cibo's or Lexie's.
Waffles with Bacon. Limp and boring.
Osso Bucco Milanese with gremolata and saffron risotto. The beef was a bit tough but bearable. The risotto was under cooked.
Italian Sausage with gorgonzola polenta. They mixed up my order and gave me the Italian sausage pesto. The server was insisting I ordered the pasta but I've 2 witnesses who heard I specifically said with gorgonzola polenta. The manager though was kind enough to have it changed. Dapat lang!
I would've enjoyed the sausages very much if I had time. Its garlicky and generous, two big pieces. The polenta was creamy but I didn't taste even a hint of the gorgonzola.
Lex and Mami were done by the time my order came. I literally had to inhale my food so we won't be late. Service was oh-so-slow. And to think there were just a handful of customers.
