Rihanna, the Barbados American artist has been named Britain's Most Influential Pop Star: isn't it funny how things work out? Rihanna actually moved to America from Barbados in 2004, and I am sure she never thought she would become this big. She dropped her first album, "Music of the Sun" under Def Jam Records in 2005, and 8 years and 7 albums later, the 25 year old artist, is top 3 the biggest pop star in the world right now.

Beyonce comes in at second place, One Direction at third place, Katy Perry at 4, and Justin Bieber at fifth position. As I always say, take all the scandals and crazy lifestyle away, Rihanna is one hard-working young lady. Even if your don't like her lifestyle, at least respect the effort she puts into making great music..respect her hustle. And what she has achieved in her 8 years in the industry is phenomenal. She has 12 number 1 hits, and is now at a tie with Madonna for that achievement. This means she is at 4th position (with Madonna) for the most chart-toppers in US Hot 100 History...Behind only Michael Jackson (13 number one hits), Mariah Carey (18), and The Beatles (20). All her 7 albums are all platinum selling, and she is the highest selling digital artists ever, with 47.5 million copies of songs sold digitally. I wish her all the best in the years to come.
