I've decided to start posting about my secret spots around the country. Given that I travel as much as I do. I have my haunts. Which are usually cafes and bookshops. Sometimes, both! But I do have places that calm me and soothe me after a hard days work.I came across the gutter bookshop a few times in my travels. It's just off Cows lane in Temple Bar Dublin. It's near the studio so I've taken to popping in to waste a few minutes before meetings.
It has a great stock of excellent reading material and fantastic lists. By lists I mean, the staff have their picks and you can pick up some amazing new books which you didn't know existed.
They stock all the classics as well. However, they really do have some amazing events as well. They invite playwrights, writers and lecturers into the space to do readings, poetry nights and courses. You can check out the upcoming event on their website www.gutterbookshop.com.
