Anna Faris Leaves Me Breathless From Laughter

My favorite 'Playboy Bunny', Anna Faris sits down with Corduroy magazine for their latest April cover edition. As stated here before, I adore Anna and her old school approach to her comedy and acting, A la Lucille Ball and Whoopi Goldberg. Folks are familiar with Fari's resume of work in such comedic films as Scary Movie (which I haven't seen) and the reason why I fell in adoration over her, "The House Bunny".

So it comes to no surprise that Corduroy magazine said the following about the adorable and hilarious Miss Anna. "During a recent trip to LA, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the fun-loving girl on film is just as outgoing and effervescent in real life.

On her childhood... “I was the awkward kid who was short and had braces and looked like I was perpetually 8 years old. I hated when people laughed at me.”

On the best advice she’s received...“Keenen Ivory Wayans once told me that ‘There is no vanity in comedy.’ When I immerse myself into a character, I really just try to have fun and not judge them. If people think I’m an idiot or a stupid person in real life, then so be it. That’s okay.”

On doing comedy versus drama...“I don’t want to embrace the idea that comedy is somehow easier or less respectable than drama. There are a lot of bad comedies but there are also a lot of bad dramas.”

On finding joy in her work...“I like that I get to make products that are enjoyed by a lot of people and aren’t particularly pretentious. I love that I can use my work to make people happy.”

Anna chats with Lynn Hirschberg of NYTimes.com for Test Films, Screen Test.
